Urimages Supports Animated Feature Films “Flow” and “The Treasure Of Barracuda” with Nearly 1 Million Euros in Funding

Eurimages has announced the results of the first Eurimages project evaluation session for 2023.

Two of the 32 films were animation projects: “Flow” by Gints Zilbalodis received €400,000 (approximately $436,500) and “The Treasure of Barracuda” by Adrià García received €500,000 (approximately (approximately $545,700).

Both films are by exciting directors who have impressed with their earlier work and should be released by next year. From what we have seen, each exhibits a unique aesthetic and should stand out in the crowded European children's and family entertainment arena.

This year, Eurimages has already provided €8,275,000 in project funding; since its founding in 1988, Eurimages has supported 2,376 co-productions, totaling approximately €676 million.
