Watch the First Teaser for Walt Disney Animation Studios' "Wish"

Walt Disney Animation Studios has released the first teaser for the animated feature film "Wishes," which will hit theaters on November 22.

The trailer introduces the film's protagonist Asha, the villainous-looking King Magnifico, Asha's pet goat Valentino, and the anthropomorphic star, Star, whose magic falls from the sky upon Asha's wish. The film also premieres a new original song, "This Wish," sung by Ariana DeBose.

Cartoon Brew's take: This looks like a winner for Disney. A new Disney heroine, an actual villain, adorable talking animals, a 2D storybook aesthetic, and inspiring music: ...... It fits the formula that has traditionally made Disney so successful at the box office, and I wouldn't be surprised if this film is a mega-hit.
