Youtuber Reviews 34 Disney Animated Sequels in One Marathon Video

Youtuber Big Joel watched 34 Disney animated sequels and posted a 73-minute review.

The nature of the videos and Joel's often sarcastic and glib sense of humor might give the impression that he approaches the task from a cynical place, especially given his choice to start with one of his least favorite sequels, Atlantis: Milo's Return. However, upon watching, any instinct to dismiss Joel's videos as ridiculous or satirical is quickly dissipated as he offers incisive insights into the film's aesthetics, narrative, music, and many of its more esoteric choices.

It is not always entirely clear when Joel is being glib and when he is being sincere, but his uncertain take makes the video more enjoyable and the long running time passes quickly. That said, there are many areas where it is clear that Joel is speaking from the heart, which adds real value to the discussion of the film he is reviewing and the larger Disney animated sequel catalog as a whole.
