Chicken Run Dawn Of The Nugget to Premiere at BFI London Film Festival

Aardman Animations' "Chicken Run": Dawn of the Nugget will have its world premiere on October 14 at this year's BFI London Film Festival, ahead of its Netflix debut on December 15.

Directed by Sam Fell, Dawn of the Nugget is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2000 stop-motion hit Chicken Run, and marks the second consecutive year that Netflix has premiered an animated film at the London festival. Last year, Guillermo del Toro's "Pinocchio" and "My Father's Dragon" debuted.

"Dawn of the Nugget" is directed by Sam Fell, who was nominated for an Academy Award for "ParaNorman" and "Flushed Away.

In a statement, the director said:

After a successful and deadly escape from Tweedy's farm, Ginger has finally found her dream. When she and Rocky hatch a little girl named Molly, Ginger's happy ending seems complete. But back on the mainland, the entire flock of chickens faces a new and terrifying threat. Ginger and her team will break in this time, even if it means risking their hard-won freedom.

Nugget's Dawn is written by Callie Kirkpatrick and executive produced by Nick Park, Peter Lord, and Carla Shelley. Its voice cast includes Thandiwe Newton, Zachary Levi, Bella Ramsey, Imelda Staunton, Lynn Ferguson, David Bradley, Jane Horrocks, Romesh Ranganathan, Daniel Mays, Josie Sedgwick-Davis, Nick Mohamed included.
