Netflix Animation Ahead: 2024 and 2025 More than 30 new series and features teased

This morning, at Netflix's headquarters in Hollywood, streamers hosted their first "Next on Netflix: Animation."This is a pre-presentation for the media focused on the upcoming series and feature slate.

Considering the company's phenomenal animation output, perhaps the most prominent part of today's event was that they had never pre-hosted a dedicated animation before. The event, which looked like the entire entertainment media in Los Angeles, reaffirmed the streamer's continued commitment to animation.

Also noteworthy: the breadth and diversity of Streamers' upcoming projects. Netflix has announced at least 18 series and 12 features, all of which are expected to be released in the coming year and a half. Projects range from preschool and family series to adult animation, the latter being a fast-growing area for many American animation producers.

Streamers have good reason to continue investing in animation. While more than 13,000 million households watch animation every month on Netflix, Anime generated 10 billion views in 2023. The streamer's biggest preschool hits, Coco Melon, Coco Melon Lane and Gabby's Dollhouse, were released in 2023 with more than 65,000 views, while Adam Sandler's feature-length Leo had more than 3 million views in the first 11,800 months.

In terms of functionality, Netflix has solidified its lineup for the rest of 2024 and through 2025. Here are the titles that are still released in 2024:

The slate for 2025 has not yet been dated, but Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl features the return of Feathers McGraw from the wrong pants, but it will be one of the first titles to be released next year as it is dated this winter.1

On the series side, Netflix has announced a number of new series. Among the highlights:
