The "Batman Beyond" feature has been pitched by "My Dad Bounty Hunter" co-creator Patrick Harpin and "Spider-Verse" artist Yuhki Demers

More than two decades after the cult favorite series Batman Beyond went off the air, a futuristic sequel to Batman: The animated series is a new

Yuhki Demers, a vis-developing artist for the Spider-Verse franchise and several other Sony productions, who and my father Barry have worked with. Unty Hunter co-creator Patrick Harpin says he met with Warner Bros. Entertainment five months ago to pitch their idea to reboot the Beyond franchise with a new movie.

On Linkedin, Demers offered the pitch anyway, although he and Harpin didn't have much hope for their proposal, despite tremendous enthusiasm at their end,

In their meeting, Demers wrote:

Before we pitched, they warned us "there's absolutely no way to run a Beyond movie," but they loved our enthusiasm. We pitched the outline of the whole movie, and what started as "never" turned into "maybe."

He also shared 3 images from the pitch, probably seen below.

Demar says that in the months since their first meeting, he and Harpin, along with Peter Saffron, have thrown their way up the ranks of Warner decision makers in the hope of presenting their ideas to James Gunn, who took over as head of DC's film, television and animation efforts. It will be.

It's hard to predict the outcome here. Gunn is clearly a big animation fan, and the first production of the unit with him as co-head of DC Studios was the animated series Creature Co

Another factor that could help with the probability of a Beyond reboot getting the green Light is the bat of the animation. It's that Mann's title sells well for WBD. The Prime video recently featured Christmas-themed Merry Little Batman features and features Bruce Tim, Matt Reeves, and J.J.Abrams has picked up two seasons of Caped Crusaders.

That said, under CEO David Zaslav, Warner Bros.Discovery moved to a theatrical-only model for its feature-length commission. An animated series over the age of 20, rebooted as a movie, can be a difficult sell, given the current attitude in the studio.

Batman Beyond debuted in 1999 and appeared in 3 episodes over 52 seasons. The show has remained a fan favorite in the decades since it was wrapped up, and it approached adult themes more than many of its animated Bat predecessors

even though it has been created and developed by many of the team behind the classic Batman: The animated series, Beyond has made its debut. The show, which differs greatly from its predecessor, stars a 10th・generation version of the new Batman that is trained by the original Bruce Wayne Batman in a futuristic version of Gotham City
