Fox Entertainment Elevates Rob Wade to CEO
Rob Wade has been appointed CEO of Fox Entertainment and is taking over from Charlie Collier, who left the company to join Roku last month.
Wade immediately takes his new role effective, having recently served as President of the company's Alternative Entertainment and Specials. He reports to Lachlan Murdoch, CEO and Executive chair of Fox Corporation.
With this promotion, Wade will oversee Fox Entertainment's complete portfolio, including animation and animation neighboring companies such as bento Box Entertainment and Blockchain Creative Labs. Other Fox divisions that fall under his mandate include MarVista Entertainment, TMZ, Fox Alternative Entertainment (which he launched), Studio Ramsay Global, Fox Entertainment Studios, and worldwide content sales unit Fox Entertainment Global.
Because Wade's experience is largely unscripted, it is difficult to predict how his promotion will affect the animation. It is reported that the main reason for the sharp rise of Fox Rank in recent years is his tendency for financial responsibility, but perhaps there may be belt tightening on the way.
"Since the establishment of FOX Entertainment, Rob founded an independent media company built on broadcasting, developed a content portfolio owned and disciplined in-house Inf "Given Rob's keen creative instincts and proven operational insight, what he promises to be an exciting next chapter in its rich history"
Wade added: "As we build and expand Fox's legacy of storytelling excellence, entrepreneurial energy, and innovation, I am honored to be entrusted to lead fox Entertainment into the future with a very talented team that I know very well." It's a time of transformation across the world's entertainment landscape, showing unlimited opportunities and, above all, creativity, making the outlook bright and exhilarating.”
