Emma's Big Adventure, a Toons Media Group/Gold Valley Films co-production, will be released in U.S. theaters by Viva Kids.

VivaKids has acquired North American distribution rights to Gold Valley and Toonz's animated feature film "Emma's Big Adventure" (formerly titled "Little Emma"), which will be released in the United States later this year.

"Emma's Big Adventure" is a kids' family film directed by Leo (Luis) Liao from a screenplay by Roger Chin Chen and Alyce Tsue. It tells the story of Emma, a miniature human adopted by animal parents.

Robert Chandler, former producer and screenwriter of Viva Kids' "Amazing Maurice," joined Gold Valley and Toonz as creative producer of the film.

Victor Elizalde, president of VivaKids, said of the company's latest acquisition:

We couldn't be more excited to be on this magical journey with Emma. The film's themes of courage, self-discovery, and acceptance of diversity fit seamlessly with our vision of bringing engaging and heartwarming stories to audiences of all ages.

According to producer Allen Tsang, this could be the first of many Gold Valley films to be distributed by Viva Kids. We have always explored the possibility of collaboration and are thrilled to finally be partnering with Viva Pictures. Their commitment to bringing quality stories to audiences aligns perfectly with the essence of Emma's Big Adventure. We are confident that this collaboration will delight and inspire North American audiences and set the stage for future long-term partnerships.

Gold Valley has produced several animated films with impressive tone and storytelling, including The Mermaid Princess, Snow White, Cinderella, Emma's Big Adventure: A New Adventure, Cinderella and the Secret Prince, Mulan: The Princess Warrior," among others. With upcoming films, the studio appears to be expanding its creative ambitions and producing more original content.

Founded in India in 1999, Toontz Media has grown into a global company over the past quarter century. It now owns 10 subsidiaries, employs over 3,000 people, and has 11 offices in eight countries. Last year the company established a feature film division, with "Little Emma" as its first production.

The two companies plan to co-produce two more films over the next two years, which were highlighted at last year's American Film Market.
