Emmy Award-winning French Label Dandelooo Launches Division Specializing in Animated Feature Films

Dandelooo, the International Emmy Award-winning French animation production/distribution company, has launched Dandelooo Cinéma, a division dedicated to feature films. The new division joins Dandelooo's other operations: the animation studio Oulala, located in La Cartoucherie, France, and its sales office in Milan, Italy.

According to the company, it will focus on acquiring, developing, producing, and distributing quality kids' and family films, and Dandeloo Cinema already has a number of projects underway.

Emmanu, co-founder of Dandelooo?

Entering the cinema is a natural fit for Dandelooo. We are passionate about providing exceptional entertainment, and Dandelooo Cinéma allows us to take this commitment to new heights, building and enhancing our content for a global audience.

Dandelooo is best known for its hybrid preschool series The Treehouse Stories, which won an International Emmy Award in 2017, and its companion feature film The Birdhouse Stories. Other notable works include "Stinky Dog" for France Televisions and TV3 Catalunya, "Mum is Pouring Rain" for Canal+, which won the Annecy Jury Prize, "Chico Chica Boumba" for French broadcaster M6, the feature animation "Houdini", among others.

Dandelooo's Paris headquarters-based feature department will be headed by International Sales and Acquisitions Manager Luna Servin, who will be tasked with overseeing and expanding Dandelooo Cinéma's activities through acquisition, development, production and marketing.

According to Servin,

despite the challenging environment, we feel the need to provide meaningful stories that are uplifting. We believe that the quality of an animated film and its message is evident through the passionate work of local distributors. It is this meticulous work that is the key to solving today's greatest challenge: keeping children invited to the cinema. As an international distributor, our mission is to provide ambitious animated films that inspire and enrich the lives of children around the world.

In addition to announcing the division, Dandelooo also revealed that it has secured international theatrical rights for three upcoming European feature films:
